Course Overview

The BA (Hons) Animation programme at the University of Greenwich is designed to equip students with the creative, technical and storytelling skills needed to succeed in the animation industry. The course covers both 2D and 3D animation techniques, including character design, motion graphics, digital sculpting and visual storytelling.

Students learn the complete animation production process, from concept development and storyboarding to final digital animation and post-production. The programme also develops strong creative thinking and visual communication skills that are valuable across a range of creative industries.

The course is delivered at the Greenwich Campus in London within the School of Design and Creative Industries, providing students with access to modern creative facilities and industry-inspired teaching.

Academic Requirements

  • Bangladesh: Higher Secondary Certificate with a minimum GPA 4.0 (80%) or above / achieved 60% or above in a Polytechnic Diploma
  • Nepal: Higher Secondary Education Certificate with a minimum grade of 65%
  • India: Standard XII with a minimum grade of 65%, obtained within the last two years
  • Pakistan: FA / FSC / ICom / DCom / HSSC / Intermediate with a minimum grade of 70%
  • Sri-Lanka: Achieving A Levels with a minimum of BBC
  • Nigeria: Completion of A-levels or IB

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS: 6.0 overall (minimum 5.5)
  • PTE: 59 overall (no less than 59)
  • Other: Other English tests equivalent to IELTS 6.0, with no component less than 5.5

Other Requirements

Applicants may also need to provide:

  • Portfolio of creative work demonstrating artistic or design ability.

  • Personal statement explaining their interest in animation and creative media.

  • Academic references if requested during the application process.
